Nautica greets Spring 2009 with its new "SEA" and "SAIL" collection inspired by the world's most precious and pervasive resource, the Ocean. The "SEA" collection features a variety of designs in a washed, relaxed style, with saturated and soft colors in the fabrics. This group has a vintage feel to it and features a mix of classic patterns and prints that are reminiscent of sun filled days spent on the beach. "SAIL" is a direct representation of Nautica's heritage, with clean, crisp designs that focus on functionality.

LIGHTHOUSE

Nautica"s first delivery of the season introduces "SEA" featuring a worn, but not worn-out look that has a laid-back vibe of comfort and style. Knits are offered in a variety of stripes, plaids and prints and fabrics from washed poplin to linen rayon have been incorporated, but the real focus of the collection is the attention to detail in the design. Two-pocket chambray shirts and supplex shirt-jackets are sure to be favorites, as well as the Halyard jacket in cotton and nylon with four-pocket styling, signature Nautica elbow patches and twill tape detail. Warm weather hues of Kelly Green, Sky Blaze and Flare Red are grounded by Nautica's more traditional colors of Bright White and Classic Navy. For Swim, Nautica offers maritime inspired prints such as sailing abstracts and graphic nautical number designs, as well as sea floral prints. All of the trunks are offered in an assortment of lengths and fabrics that work well whether you are on deck or on your surfboard.

LIGHTSPEED 

The clean, crisp and technical "SAIL" collection is the ultimate combination of function and style. The focus of the collection is on the enhanced Cool Plus Performance Pique Deck Shirt presented in a variety of stripe layouts including traditional black and white with bursts of bold colors such as Sky Blaze, Blue Dive and Tangerine. The new Deck Shirt is constructed from a light, breathable pique that helps to keep the active man cool. Lightweight French Terry engineered shirts are complimented by pieced "sailcloth" inspired collars and "sail" stitch details that pay homage to the brand's nautical heritage. In addition, Nautica has re-invented the super functional cargo pant using lightweight poplin to make the pant more sensible for the warm temperatures ahead. 

LIGHTWAVE 

A combination of the "SEA" and "SAIL" collections, the final delivery of the season includes vintage washed wovens and pigment dyed jersey shirts as well as "SAIL" collection shirts in glen-plaids, Tattersals and multi-check prints. New color ways are introduced to mark the arrival of Spring: Double Navy, Thistle, Burlap, Bright White and a Rich Coral. "SEA" collection colors appear as if they have been naturally washed through the ocean tides to obtain that perfect, faded look. A garment-dyed field jacket anchors the "SEA" collection and can be paired with flat front pants in herringbone weave and burlap yarn-dyed stripe for a complete look.

DRESS BLUES 

Nautica's popular Dress Blues assortment continues for Spring with versatile shirts in double-faced fabrics that provide an updated look for work or play. The juxtaposition of Classic Tattersal on one side and Bengal on the other presents a chic contrast. This fun, contemporary style is offered alongside classic stripe and plaid patterns in 100/2 ply poplin. Mercerized knit polo shirts in solids such as True Navy, French Blue, Bright White and Kelly Green have been updated with woven trim details creating the perfect shirt for work, school or a last minute island getaway. New to Dress Blues for Spring 2009 is the khaki twill striped suit. Twill pants are worn with a classic Nautica Deck Shirt in a complimentary color, offering a more casual look.In the city or on the water, Nautica’s Spring 2009 collection evokes the power and purity of the Ocean and provides a fresh, crisp and classic style for warm-weather dressing.
